Proof Cafe & Sky Lounge @ Signature Hotel

Didn't know where to go or what to eat, so was searching online to see if there's anything new and stumble upon this cafe.
Took us quite long to search how to get to the area, so keep a look out and once you've reached, ask the guard on how to get to the top floor.
We got so blur getting there.

Once we got out of the lift, there's this amazing lounge area and a counter in the middle.
Just turn left and walk right out the glass door and you're at the cafe!

Well, sky lounge meant to be up in the sky isn't it?
And you have your view over the city.

It's a rooftop area, with a little garden and you can glance over the edge to take a look of the view.

MENU time!!!

I wanted to try everything. Damn it.

They had this amazing dessert that I wanted to try but they didn't have it on that day.
Was pretty much bumped out.

Strawberry Infusion Drink - RM 10.00
Well, I didn't know infusion drinks are tasteless.
But the taste of mint was really strong.
One of the waiters recommend it and he was really nice serving us.
And he made this so I thought why not give it a try.

The Gourmet Breakkie - RM 23.00
Choice of sunny-side up, scrambled or poached eggs served with crostini, summer hash, gourmet chicken sausages and lightly sauteed mushrooms.
Ohh I love this.
Everything just blends so well together and I wished I could have swap it with my boyfriend cause it wasn't mine.
But that's just bad lah.

And I don't know which we ordered, they even gave us a free bun. Heh.
Malaysians just love anything that is free, no?

Baked Eggs - RM 25
Chicken sausages, red pepper, pickle and spices with baked eggs covered over the top. Served with crostini with garlic.
I really didn't like this one.
The spices was omgosh, so much of it, my taste buds couldn't handle it.
Couldn't understand why people recommend it.

An overview.

Overall, I love the ambiance and environment there.
Gives a city life vibe and you're out of reach of it.
Think they could have improve more of the dish though.
Everyone was being very very nice and polite.
Even though the dish wasn't great, but with their friendly smiles, you couldn't help but feel to go back again.
Service was top notch.
Also don't forget to take your receipt and give it to the counter in front of the lift.
The parking ticket will be RM 5.00 after discount from the counter.
Total spending of 58.00 without service charge and GST. *WOOHOO*

Ecole P @ Damansara Uptown [CLOSED]

1:52 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

Located on the first floor in the streets of Damansara Uptown, this place bring back memories.
Uncountable memories... When you are a kid!

The cafe itself is designed to look like a classroom.
A typical government school classroom we had back in the days.

Remarkable similarities!
How the door of the classroom looked like and the windows and curtains.
Even the wooden chairs and tables with the ink of correction pen everywhere!

The door of the classroom leads us outside of the cafe, more like the balcony of the cafe.

And walah! Your typical primary school classroom, fix with a blackboard too!

and back in those days, teachers always used cane or that thing I'm holding to be a pointer or to whack us hah.

As Tsuey Min listened attentively...

And it's been a long time since I saw all these old version dictionaries around.

School used to have what we called "Koperasi".
Other than books and pens, we always buy candies and snacks.

Gone were the days when you had to sew your own school badge or else you're gonna get it from the teacher.

The cafe also made all these pop up speech bubbles of the things we used to say in school.
Do you remember saying all of these?

Alas. MENU time!!!

They used an exercise book to create their book menu. How cute!

The drinks have their own cute little names.
All their mocktails are combination of fresh fruit and fruit juice, sweeten with honey.
From left to right:

Spongebob Squarepants - Rm 9.00
Passion fruit + Honey + Lemon

Ultraman - RM 9.00
Mango + Raspberries + Lemon + Orange Juice + Honey

Powerpuff Girls - RM 9.00
Watermelon + Lychee+ Mint + Raspberries + Honey

Power Ranger - RM 9.00
Lychee + Mango + Passion Fruit + Orange Juice + Lemon + Honey

The Mask - RM 9.00
Strawberry + Apple Juice + Guava Juice + Yakult + Honey

Fish and Asparagus - RM 18.90
Pan fried black tilapia served with stir fried roasted potatoes and broccoli with asparagus pea puree.
Ohh I had this and I love it. If can, I would love to have more!
There was this exquisite taste that I could not comprehend, bring such delicate taste to my taste buds that I wanted more of it!
Really thumbs up for this dish!

Nasi Kambing - RM 21.90
Turmeric raisin fried rice served with lamb braised in raisin and carrots.
This dish was just okay, I expected more with a price like that but the braised lamb was not so nice.
Maybe it was braised too long till the taste was gone.

Fish A La Laksa - RM 16.90
Spaghetti cooked in asam laksa brothel served with pan fried black tilapia.
Well, its spaghetti with laksa!
The smell was just wonderful, aromatic laksa smell.

Seafood Linguine - RM 21.90
Linguine with prawns, squids and black mussel. Tomatoes concasse, black olive cooked in a mixture of garlic, curry leaves, chili flakes and splash of fresh lemon juice.
One look at it, you'd know its good alright.

An overview.

So we had our pictures taken to be a part of Ecole P School.
OVerall, I really love the concept of this cafe.
It's definitely a back to school vibe with all kinds of things you can see in there.
Food and drinks are great too.
Definitely going back again for that Fish Asparagus. I still miss that taste of it!
Total spending of RM 150.70, inclusive of 10% service charge, no GST.

A Pie Thing @ Bandar Sunway

12:36 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

Woop woop!
I didn't knew there's one in Sunway area!
Good thing we came, its possible that the PJ branch is packed with people.

Wanted to try this cafe long time, ever since people kept posting their marshmallow chocolate pie.

On the inside, it looks pretty soothing.
Grey-ish design.

I really like how the counters are in the middle and they have seats back upstairs.

Alas, it's MENU time!!!
I was pretty blur on how to order, but the very good-looking waiter helped us out.
Just choose a pie you want, chicken, lamb or beef with different texture and flavour inside.
So it depends what you want to top up with on your pie.
It can be Mash + Gravy, Peas + Gravy or all together.
And also they come in sets too!

They have two sections of pies.
One is the dessert section.

And the other is the main section.

An overview.

Dark Smores Pie - RM 10.50
They weren't in the counter on display so you have to order it through the cashier.
Can either be dark chocolate or milk chocolate and we chose dark chocolate.
The marshmallows aren't soft but crunchy!

The Mashacre + Water - RM 18.90
We had the set of ordering a Chicken Mushroom Pie topped with Mash, Peas and Gravy with a bottle of water. Regretted having peas, it was so bitter. Yuck.
But the mash, good Lord. It was so damn good!
For me, chicken pie just so-so. I still like the chicken pie at Dome.

The basket was pretty mini. Heh.
But overall it was nice.
I don't fancy pie as much as a pie-natic, but I would come back for the dessert pies for sure.
Total spending of RM 29.40, included GST but no service charge.
