Jibby & Co @ Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya

Well well, as I flew my way to KL, I couldn't help but to stop and nom on a cafe!
I've been wanting to try this cafe for a pretty long time.
Many bloggers have blogged about this so it really triggers me to go!

It's located outside of the shopping gallery.
In it's own building and well, pretty much hot in the afternoon actually.

The design inside is a little bit retro.
Not much of deco because the place is pretty packed with tables and chairs all around.

From the top view.
Pretty cool isnt it?

"Come for the food, Stay for the coffee."

MENU TIME!!!!!!

Cafe Latte - RM 11.00

Casablanca Eggs - RM 28.00
Baked eggs with chicken sausages, chili flakes, ras el hanout and lemon zest spiced Napoli served with Turkish bread.
I have to say, it sucked.
It was so damn salty!
I couldn't finish it, left half of it there.
It was just horrible.
And I thought its one of their signatures.

Chic Breakie - RM 28.00
Poached eggs served with smashed corn, grilled zucchini, cripsy hasbrowns, smoked salmon, ikura and hollandaise sauce.
Now this, is good.
At least it doesnt taste salty, and the eggs were perfect.

Jibby Big Breakafast - RM 31.00
Big breakie choice of scrambled, poached or fried eggs accompanied with beef bacon, chicken sausage, spinach, Portobello mushrooms, hashbrown and roasted tomato and thyme.
Well, you can never go wrong with bacon.
The sauce they gave was a bit funny taste though.

An overview.

Overall? I wouldn't really recommend this place.
Heard from lots of people that they got chased out too for being there too long.
And the food is not really worth the price.
Maybe you can try it once and its enough.
Total spending of RM 113.70, including 10% service charge and 6% government tax.

Inside Scoop @ Bangsar

5:46 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

Went to the one at Bangsar which is pretty small.
It's only half the size of a shop!

But inside seems so cozy!
Looks like the cashier is picking her nose hah!

MENU TIME!!!
Their menu is only on the board behind the counter.
It's simple, just choose whatever flavour you want, how many scoops = the price.

Care to write your thoughts on their wall?

If only I've brought my polaroid cam with me, would have put our pictures on the wall too!

The flavours!
It's amazing really how they can make flavours like these and it doesnt really taste artificial!
My friend and I were basically tasting every flavour only to pick the best four below.

Bandung and Hazelnut
Bandung taste like ice bandung! It's amazing how they can put that same taste into ice cream!
Hazelnut is of course, best la.
It's just so flavourful!

Volrhona Chocolate and Peanut Butter with Buttermilk Waffles
The chocolate is just so rich in flavour, burst cold heat in your mouth.
Funny how peanut butter doesnt taste so overly creamy but its just nice.

The other two friends couldnt help it and get their own cones instead. hah.
Volrhona Chocolate and Vanilla
Durian and Milk Chocolate

An overview.

Just for the ice cream? Yes, definitely yes.
Although their waffles are not as crispy as the ones at Whimsical, but their ice cream is definitely worth it.

Restoran Makanan Laut Villa @ Sitiwan

12:36 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

So we had a short geatway cause I just couldn't face Kampar so much,
so we head off to Sitiawan to find some really really irresistible food.
Am very thankful that we had a tour guide friend who brought us everywhere, making sure we were all well fed.

Well, Sitiawan itself is famous for their seafood, so of course we had to have it.
Bringing us to a seafood restaurant which locals think its the best.
and it did not disappoint us.

菜胆 Stewed Vegetables
Nothing special about this dish, I guess everyone had this dish at home at least right?
It's a typical home cook vegetable but look at that green glaze on it!
Makes you wanna try doesnt it?

蚝煎 Fried Egg Oyster
This is one of their famous dishes.
Its very different from the ones in Penang because this is crispier than Penang's.
You don't smell the fishy smell of the oyster, so it taste delightful and crunchy at the same time!!

黑椒螃蟹 Black Pepper Crab
This was a little bit of a let down.
The black pepper taste was actually pretty good but the bad thing was, it was far too strong that it covered up the taste of the crab.
Such a waste though.

奶油虾姑 Butter Cream Mantis Shrimp
Well, we all call it "hako" and I never had it until 2 years back.
Although it looks pretty disgusting *when its not covered up with all that buttery thing*,
it taste very nice, like chicken! Nahh Im just joking.
It has its own flavorful taste.
and so the butter cream combination is just right, fried it, giving it a crunch.

An overview.

Yea well there's nothing much to post about compare to cafes cause well its a totally different environment kan?
But the shading coconut trees that surrounds the restaurant and the spacious area which welcomes a pack crowd on holidays are a breezeful enjoyable place to eat at.
None the less, this is where all the really good Chinese food comes from.
Made me miss my mom's cooking.
So yea overall? Food's great! No comment about the ambiance, though its open air.
Total Spending around RM 133.00+.

Frisky Goat Bakery Cafe @ TTDI

1:10 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

Hola from TTDI!
One spot that's got to be the most cafes around!
Literally every corner that you turn, there's a cafe.
and that's when I wish I was from KL or living there.

Went during Christmas week, so there were lots of Christmas deco around.
Blue frame door.
Isn't it pretty?

It shows a little bit of vintage in here, which is what me likey.
Funny how the bricks on the wall that you don't cover up with cement does actually blend in the ambiance eh?

Jeng jeng jeng!
Alas, its MENU time!!

Seriously?
I saw waffle in everything!
It's like a dream spot for waffle/brunch lovers!

Latte - RM 9.00
Cappuccino - RM 9.00

Flat White - RM 9.00
So I had this. Well, coffee is coffee aye?
I would think the latte taste better.

Egg Salmon Royale - RM 21.00
Ohh, I never had any other food on my waffles before!
It was a little bit weird, trust me.
But it taste awesome!
Funny combination but i like it!
Sauteed mushrooms, poached egg, salmon, bread and waffle.
Of course I still prefer Antipodean's sauteed mushrooms anytime but the salmon is top notch!
It's tomato sauce thats in between of everything.
A little bit sour but it taste quite alright.

Loaded Omelette Beef Bacon - RM 17.00
Scrumptious omelette!
You can taste the beef bacon in it which is so fragrant!

Smoked Salmon Waffles - RM 18.00
This is actually in their December special.
So I don't think that they have it anymore in their menu now.
It's like Jap meets Western cuisine.
Smoked salmon, mayonnaise, waffle, peeled cucumber.
Interesting combination dont you think?

An overview.

This babe. Is my beloved.
My mummy during my early uni years.
Missing her lots everyday.
Missing the days when I get to kacau her too.

Of course le Ms Faye tagged along :)
So overall, ambiance great, food combination is weird but great, drinks are not bad.
Should try their bread next time though, looks tempting.
I blame myself for not having a bigger stomach, but then I don't wanna turn into a balloon.
Yea definitely a try!
A total spending of RM 91.30 including 10% service charge.
