Nam Heong @ Soho, Ipoh

So my parents came by and they wanted to eat at Nam Heong at Old Town.
But it was overly packed and they tried it many times anyway.

So we head over here since none of us been to this Nam Heong before.
Also, it was really famous for its ROBOTS.

Inside I would say very Old Town White Coffee look a like environment.
Bright warm lights and all.
Comfortable because its air condition.

So the robots they have a railway of their own on the floor, so they will just go round and round with it.

Yea mom very happy wanna take picture with the robot.

Nam Heong Menu

Nam Heong Ipoh White Coffee (Hot) - RM 2.90
Nam Heong Ipoh White Coffee (Cold) - RM 3.20
Honestly, its disappointing.
Better go to the original old town Nam Heong to drink is way better.

Nam Heong Chicken Hor Fun - RM 9.40
Tasteless, cold and oily like the picture as you can see.

Egg Noodles with BBQ Pork and Wanton - RM 9.40
This one came out still alright.
But the dish also, came out cold.

Kaya Butter Toast + Soft Boil Egg - RM 6.00
Eggs are alright. At least they're fresh.
Toast were a bit too thick and a bit soggy.

Nasi Lemak with Soy Cube Curry Chicken  - RM 12.90
This plate was not bad.
Curry tasted a bit of spiciness and fragrant.
But the rice is just normal white rice.

Signature Wan Dan Hor - RM 10.30
Bland was all I can describe this dish.
Couldn't even finish it.

 Siew Mai - RM 4.70
Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sauce - RM 5.20
With all that you have read above, I don't think how bad I should explain their dim sum is.

An Overview.

Overall, everything sucks.
Giving 1.0 rating for the appearance of robots.
They didn't even serve you la, just stop by your table and you got to get it yourself.
This is not what I foresee the future should be. Lol.
Plus waiters serve much faster anyway hahaha.
Just come take pictures of the robots and go.
Not worth the money and so pricey also.

Addon White Coffee @ Ipoh

So the other day I happened to pass by town and notice this very well repainted structure.
Then I notice the words "White Coffee" and was like ehhh? Something new?
So of course I have to go!

Inside is soooo cozy! Because of the air-cond haha.
Since Ipoh nowadays hot af, this place really does make you feel comfortable once you step in.

And one great thing is they have a floor above so if you want to have something bit more private,
can just go upstairs.

Addon White Coffee Menu

Soya (Cold) - RM 3.80
Fresh and refreshing, also very full after drinking it.

Addon White Coffee (Cold) - RM 4.60
I would say the coffee is more towards the bitter side.
My husband loved it

Bread with Kaya and Butter (Toast) - RM 4.50
I would say this is pretty disappointing.
The bread was soggy, just horrible to eat with.
Totally not worth the price, at all.

Rice with Braised Beef - RM 13.90
Braised beef is quite nice, but if they flavored their rice, I think the whole dish would be much better.

Lamen with Beef Rendang - RM 13.90
The noodle as stated in their menu is handmade.
Quite delicious and the beef is very tender.

An Overview.

Overall, I would say its like another Chang Jiang White Coffee
Good environment, nice lighting, selling white coffee...
Food was just so-so but their white coffee is definitely worth a shot.
So you try and let me know how it is :)

Wheel Noodles @ Ipoh Old Town [Change to Big Bowl Ramen]

After the hype of hanging umbrellas at Empire Damansara, which is where Boat Noodle is located at
It's like I'm seeing umbrella hanging everywhere.
For those who read my blog, a post in the alleys of Terengganu, hanging umbrellas are there too.

So yea, it's actually the same lah.
Now sibeh "heng" small bowls of noodles, can *glup* it in a mouthful.
Such as Boat Noodle and Big Spoon.
So since I'm already in Ipoh, why not just go have a try?

The place is actually pretty small.
Maximum a table can fit is 6 people and ngam ngam there were 6 of us. *wiu*

It is actually connected to 1981 - Ben and Lynette, a cafe by TSG.
Therefore Wheel Noodles is also under TSG.

The couple of the year of our church. HAH.

Alright. MENU TIME!

Mickey Mouse Noodle - RM 1.90

Wheel Noodle (Beef) - RM 1.90

Dong Dong Noodle (Fish) - RM 1.90

Soy Milk - RM 3.00
Ipoh White Coffee - RM 3.00

Toast Bread with Half-Boiled Egg - RM 4.80

The beef noodle was alright, some of them don't like it because its sour?
No idea why its tasted sour but I think its just fine.
Most probably because its overnight brew, meaning that its the soup from yesterday.
Any meat soup that's sour means its overnight.
So yuck.
The fish noodle was too peppery.
It's like they pour the whole bottle into it. *yuck*
Coffee was no doubt, best la.
If Ipoh white coffee taste horrible, I don't know what will become of this place LOL.
We didn't had much because it wasn't as good as it seems but overall environment is okay je la.

If you wanna find this place, it's not easy.
It's in one of the alleys in Ipoh old town.
So if you do see a big ass signboard 1981 Guest House
Just walk in straight to the back, because they are connected and you're there!
Total spending of 32.45 included with service charge.
