Venzytea @ Soho, Ipoh

Inspiration of tea it said. 
So we came after their hype slow down so I don't need to queue. Ipoh Bubble Teas are opening like crazy.

So their menu has a variety of choices. Like from Milk teas to coffee and so much more.




     
Their design I would say its a bit futuristic yet minimalist?
I don't find it comfortable to sit in for a long time.

     
Venzytea MENU

A01 Brownx Venzy Tea - RM 9.90 (Regular)
I quite like this though. It's not very sweet, pearls are alright.
Surprisingly the taste is quite average, taste like any other Brown Sugar Milk Tea.

B01 Venzy Cheese Milk Tea - RM 11.90 (Regular)
This though, isn't good. 
Weird cheese taste that doesn't blend well with their milk tea and their milk tea tasted awful.
So, definitely a no to this.

Overall, I heard quite a number of "not so nice" about this place.
It's a half half to me. Brown Sugar was alright but milk tea definitely a no.
Their camouflage design totally ruin the look for their teas. If it could be half transparent would be better. But anyway, try for yourself to see if you agree with the others about this place being a no.

Galaxy Tea Bar @ Soho, Ipoh

Alright!
Another Bubble Tea Joint!
Keep them coming.
But brace yourself as this is something TOTALLY DIFFERENT.


Somewhat hidden bubble tea but not so.
If they made it a hidden one I bet it would be flooding in with people taking Insta pictures around.


So their bar is outside, where you make your orders. 
So let me explain, this is the shop where the hype of the White Rabbit Milk Tea came from!

So once inside the door, it's pretty dark, as they try to embrace their company name, Galaxy.
The ceiling is gorgeous though, I got to say.


And sometimes you can see a strip of light flies down like a shooting star.

They have an oddly weird menu. 
Sweet Potato la, Charcoal la. Erm okay.


     
Piglet Grapefruit Smoothie - RM 16.90
Well the piggy on top is actually a pudding, and you have to wait for about 10 minutes only to consume it, they froze their pudding so you get to see the whole piggy as it is and not melting away.
It's not bad the taste of the drink but its SO SWEET.

White Rabbit Milk Tea - RM 12.90
Same goes to this too, its so sweet like they put in 20 white rabbit sticks and blend together. Oh My God. If you go, please ask for like 10% of sugar only, cause its horribly sweet. You'd get diabetes the day after tomorrow. Goodness. The pearl wasn't that good either. 

     
Bubble Tea Steamboat (Milk Tea Pot) - RM 29.90
So another fascinating thing from this shop is the steamboat. Actually its not really steamboat la, they just put all the ingredients, Yam balls, Bobas, Aloe Vera, Grass Jelly and weirdly Mango in the steamboat bowl. Put in dry ice in the middle and pour the Milk Tea to it.

Hence, it looks like this.
Honestly, the taste is.
WEIRD. Effin WEIRD,
You know the Thai Milk Tea you buy at Pasar Malam, yeap, that's the taste.
And why put Fresh Mango inside? ITS SO WEIRD.
Everything is chewy and not in a good way, grass jelly felt like made out of plastic.
The whole bowl is just a definition of FOOD GONE WRONG.
It's just BAD.
I rather have the same ingredients and have it at Black Ball lo.

Sorry for the blur picture but that's what it looks like. Quite difficult to take picture because it was so dark inside.

Overall, NAWWWWWWWW.
Not coming again. 
Although the ideas are unique, but it just doesn't work.
The steamboat milk tea tasted cheap honestly. Like Cheap milk tea. LOL.
And everything is TOO SWEET.
Walao weh, Want drink die people is it.
Good for insta worthy shots and that's about it.

Lanna Thai @ Soho, Ipoh

Wooooh. Thai Food!
It's been a long time since having any thai food. 

This place is big and spacious and bright.
Super love the environment.

Thai Green Tea (Cold) - RM 10.50
Thai Tea (Cold) - RM 10.50
Both are strong flavoured of the milk tea, but quite nice.
During hot weather, one big slurp of this is like Aaaahhhhhhhhh.

 Stir Fried Kailan with Salted Fish (Regular) - RM 16.00
The chili does not give away the spiciness in the dish, but elevates it.
Salted fish wasn't too much or less. Just right.

Green Curry Chicken (Regular) - RM 25.00 
Thai food is always famous for their green curry, wah this is delicious!
Coconut milk wasn't too much that they have poured in, so the curry tasted sweet and spicy.

Fried Tofu with Garlic Sauce (Regular) - RM 16.00 
Thick sauce, but really fragrant because of the garlic. 
I love the outside texture of the tofu.

An Overview.

Overall, its really nice, but the price at the end was a bit steep.
It's worth a try really.
