So let me bring you to the land of the turtles!

So what is there in K.T. (Kuala Terengganu)?

The most famous area in town is the Chinatown a.k.a Kampung Cina!

Because all the alleys are covered with different decorative to enhance the heritage of Terengganu.

Cool right?

So let me bring you to the first alley.

Turtle Alley

Many of the arts on the wall are by different artist and some from students from different colleges.

Pretty unique of what they use to create pictures of turtles.

Even the floor is covered with it.

See the little turtles by the side? Cute aren't they?

and thats the end of it.

They even create a storyline along the way, can read along as you walk.

Well, it's not an alley but there are some fascinating stuff to look at.

Don't know what's the story here, there was no one inside at all.

I bet there was something upstairs as well, but takut la, so I didn't went up :/

But got to see all these amazing old pictures of what Terengganu was like.

I didn't even know half of it.

Don't get that picture of them carrying a house.

Green Lane

But there was nothing there at all.

They said it was the first to kickstart the project of the alleys but ape bende pun x de.

But outside or if you walk further down the main road, you'll see this huge poster stick to the wall.

A lady pouring tea.

At first I didn't even know there this thing that exist until there was this aunty asked me where is it.

Was pretending that I'm not around here.

Well, technically I'm not from K.T so... haha

Moving on to the next lane that would be...

World Heritage Lane also called as the Seven Wonders Alley

the alley that actually pays tribute to the seven wonders of the world.

There are descriptions of each wonders of the world that are adorned to the wall on the left hand side of the alley.

Don't really get why they wanna do this but it's pretty cool anyway. Heh.

Well, we don't exactly have a lock bridge, but a lock alley will do perhaps?

Many come here to do what people would do on the bridge of Paris.

The shop next to it sells the locks for RM 10 each.

I bet if the lights are turn on at night, it would really be lovely.

While walking the streets of Chinatown in Kuala Terengganu,wanted to stop by the cafe next to the turtle alley but it was closed :( on a Tuesday :(

So decided to walk on and saw this cafe instead.

Looks quite promising from the outside, so why not give it a try?

Inside is a mixture of both modern and cultural concept around.

Pretty much Terengganu style lah.

Basically they only have coffee and tea, few selections of cakes and some snacks from their menu.

Couldn't believe I forgot to take a picture of their menu. My apologies.

Well, have a look of a fake turtle on the trishaw.

Look at the chairs that is half covered with batiks.

Never seen such a thing before, cool eh?

Nahh. Wifi username and password.

The chairs near the counter got this patch-up cloth pieces and their comfy to sit on!

An overview.

It's very laid back and well coffee is cheap!

If you compare with the ones in KL of course.

It's not bad to have a quiet hang out over a cup of coffee.

They even sell some local delicacies and other kinds of coffee on the shelves.

Was hoping they would have add on more food to their menu.

Like more pastry or some sort or anything related to Terengganu other than the keropok lekor.

So I actually got dragged into this marathon run thingy by my mother

and I'm glad that she did even though I was so physically incapable of running that day.

It's something different that Terengganu has never ever held before.

We woke up in the wee hours around 3.30am, departed at 4.30am, stop by 7-11 for maggie cups to fill our stomach and reached around 5.40am.

The uncle, aunties from church and classmates of my brothers joined us.

A car that fits 7 people and the van that fits 11 people all together.

My mother was the photographer throughout the day so I didn't even need to bring my own.

DSLR is obviously better than a digital one.

Walah!

This is the sunrise from the east coast.

It was like a bright morning rainbow.

So there were 4 categories on that day.

1. Full Marathon - 42 km

2. Half Marathon - 21 km

3. Mini Marathon - 10 km

4. Fun Run - 3 km

and over 14 sub categories in total 22k people who registered for the event.

Emcee was hilarious though that day, with that "pekat" Terengganu slang, asking the people to "tepek" the numbers onto their shirts.

1st category started at 6.30am, 2nd category started around 6.45am, following ones at 7.00am and 7.15am.

It was so hectic because of the amount of people that joined the event, and it was hard to control the crowd.

and off they go! (10km category)

Only saw my brother and couldn't see the others among the crowd.

We were the last to start because 3km only mah.

My mother was bringing all her camera gadgets stuff along, how to run.

3km was short so of course we came back first before the ones that ran 10km.

Managed to captured pictures of friends of my brother finishing the race.

and this dude above managed to finished within the first 200 people, and so he got awarded RM 100!

With all the huff and puff, all managed to finish the race.

Job well done!

Even thought they didn't get no money, they got medals each for finishing the race.

Which is pretty cool, all i got was a certificate. Meh.

Well, better than nothing right?

I mean we didn't even need to pay and the t-shirt is free!

Aunties were excited to have their picture taken with one of the runners that ran the 42km race.

The first to finish 42km, finished within 2 hours and 6 minutes.

Not to be racist, but people who have darker skin seems capable of running, like really fast and well.

This uncle so cute, ran half way 3km, wanted to ran the 10km and he went off with the route.

Was the last to arrived among all of us, we were all waiting for him hah.

But he managed to finish it as well!

It's a nice experience to be able to run along side with the people of the same state.

That feeling is something indescribable.

To be able to see the amount of people that joined the run was amazing.

The turn out was spectacular!

It's amazing to see people would actually wake up and run since we are all lazy bastards.

The date is set for next year!

We head over to Bangsar for some fine dining.

very #atas so to speak.

As long as they deliver that is equal to the price, I don't see what's wrong with that.

The interior was really dim, dim till my eyes can't really see.

It's located upstairs, 1st and 2nd floor.

1st floor was fully booked for the night that day.

Though it's really romantic inside, suitable for couples perhaps.

That amount of alcohol. *gasp*

It was hard for me to take more pictures, camera was low batt and the light was so dim, it was hard to take.

Didn't wanna have the flash, it'd ridiculous.

Overall? Yea its pretty good with that kinda price.

The Smoke Salmon Pizza is like top notch.

and the scallops, delicious.

It was pretty hard to find, located in the housing area.

A total spending of RM 250.55 with a couple of drinks, service charge and government tax are included.
