S.Wine Cafe @ Publika

So my cousin brought us out to Publika to have lunch and it was pretty late,
brothers were starving and all.
Didn't know where to bring them and when she mentioned S.Wine, I was like ohh yeaaa.

Hidden on the lower ground inside of Ben's grocery store,
it's pretty hard to find.
Even I didn't know it was there.
and no wonder I didn't see it anywhere while I was walking around.

With lots of seats, and dim lights,
this place is spectacular!
the lighting is so perfect for photographs!

With paintings hanging on the wall,
I really love the ambiance around.

Porky MENU time!

Honey Lemon - RM 9.00
They let you make your own honey lemon,
which is interesting and you can't complain if it doesn't taste good,
cause you made it on your own!

3 Layer Iced Tea - RM 10.00

Latte - RM 10.00
Well, it's not bad.
I would prefer a little bit sweet so I added some brown sugar to it and it is slurp.

Macchiato - RM 8.00
Brother ordered this and he didn't know what it was.
He was shocked when he saw it was in such a small cup hah.

Pigs In A Blanket - 19.00
5 crispy bacon-wrapped mini garlic sausages.
The bacon is of course, crispy and the sausages does bring out garlic flavor but it's not very heavy.
The sauce gives a little flame in your throat.

Parma Ham and Rock Melon Salad - 30.00
Ripe melon chunks and roughly-torn Parma ham tossed in balsamic vinegar, served on a bee of arugula.
The ham is an Italian ham, tasted a bit salty but a very different flavor, it was nice.
I like the melons though, so sweet!
Not forgetting the arugula, with the taste of salt and pepper, spot on seasoning, it is definitely a taste!

Momofuku-Inspired Pork Buns - RM 23.00
Chinese-style braised pork belly slices with pickled cucumber, sandwiched in steamed flower mantao.
The buns are amazingly soft, and the pork is seasoned so well.
Definitely something I would wanna eat more.

Bowl of Ribs - RM 25.00
Deep fried marinated lemongrass pandan ribs.
A little bit of pandan flavor, strong lemongrass flavor though.
Not spicy but there was a little bit of curry powder smell to it.

Deconstructed Roast Pork Sandwich - RM 28.00
Roast pork tossed with corn salsa, crackling, mesclun and ciabatta croutons in a lemon flavoured oil, topped with a sprinkle of dried Turkish chili pepper.
Literally deconstructed, the roast pork is definitely a thumbs up.
It definitely brings up the heat because of the chili pepper.

Ham and Cheese Sandwich - RM 28.00
Maple-baked ham and melting cheddar cheese sandwich in pain de mie, served with side salad, with an option to add Branston pickle spread.
The cheddar is Mmmmmmm!
Melts in your mouth.
A simple yet fulfilling dish.

Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop - RM 29.00
Topped with a fried egg and doused with light soya sauce, served with steamed white rice and a bowl of salted vegetable duck soup.
Pork chop is not too dry, sunny side-up egg is perfect,
the salted vegetable duck soup is delicious!

Eggs Benedict - RM 25.00
Baked ham, poached egg and arugula on tasted English muffin with Hollandaise.
Egg yolk was creamy, the ham was a little bit salty,
the muffin was perfect.

Thai Grilled Pork Neck with Pomelo Mango Salad - RM 29.00
Grilled marinated pork neck with pomolo and mango salad tossed in a coconut dressing and a Nahm Jim Jaew dip served with steamed white rice.
The grilled pork neck was of course, hands down, best.
The salad has a mild mint, basilm ginger bud and slices of mango in it which gave it a sweet taste.
Weird combination but it works!

Pancakes with Maple Syrup and Crispy Bacon - RM 23.00
Two meringue-folded pancakes drizzled with maple-flavoured syrup, served with applewood smoked bacon.
The pancakes are so light and fluffy!
They absorbed the maple syrup as I pour it on them.
Making the pancakes taste sweet.
the bacon was a bit too cooked for me.

Overall? Food is good, ambiance is great!
Most of the food was really good so it's not so bad.
Price wise, yea a bit pricey but it matches the food level that they presented.
Btw, pictures are all shot by my mother with her dslr.
So therefore, the quality of the pictures are better than the usual ones.
Total spending of RM 365.40 including service charge and government tax.
