Ticklish Ribs and Wiches @ The Gardens, Midvalley

While walking around Midvalley and The Gardens, we got really hungry and searched online actually on what's new here and something we can try on.
Since we don't come to KL as often as before, we really need to know what restaurants or cafes are on trend.
So we saw this place, Ticklish, was thinking to myself, what an odd name to name a restaurant but they serve pork ribs so why not just give it a shot.

They will seat you once you go to their podium, and the place is created to look fun actually.

This whole wall is covered in cartoon pigs with funny speeches that we Malaysians always say.

This is only for those who wants to have parties.

The place looks really well decorated and gives its own cartoon with a bit of edge kinda theme.

Yea well, I'm not sure if I can wallop ribs in a minute.
I would rather enjoy the moment savoring every bite of it.

So MENU is here!
Took all the shots so you all can get a full view here.

Silly Soursop - RM 9
Taste exactly like one and even have the flesh of the fruit in it.

Hamsup Wok Fried Pasta - RM 20.00
Rich Cantonese salted egg sauce stir-fried into the noodles then capped with slices of tender breaded pork chops.
To me, when the dish came, WOW, I can smell it.
BUT sadly, it didn't taste as good as it smells.
The sauce was not thick enough to be able to cover the whole plate of pasta.
Hence, the taste was not gao enough.

The Ultimate Tickle, Not Really Platter - RM 36
This is their signature BBQ ribs, with the not really platter, you'll have 4 pieces with sides of a mashed potato and salad.
At first it tasted sweet then it got really salty.
But then, it does taste really good.
The mashed potato was a bomb though.

Lazy Bones Curry Pork Lard Rice - RM 30
Boneless local rib meat with a curry kick to it. Served with Pork lard rice and dash of sambal, with sunny side up and crumbs of pork fat.
To me it tasted like the Nasi Lemak Kapitan I had somewhere.
I didn't really like it because it wasn't like the curry kinda curry. So yea.

An Overview.

Overall, it's okay.
We went about 3pm and there was really no one.
A couple was about to leave when we got there.
Probably they have more customers at night.
Food was just so-so. I expected more.

If you are a Gardens Mall card member, buy a bucket of ribs and get your rice meal for free!

Red Kettle @ Starling

5:58 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

So we had an early dinner the other day at this magnificent looking cafe in Starling Mall.
Christmas is around the corner and they really put in a lot of effort in decorating it!
Mad love!

You can actually see from here on how they make bread.
How they knead the dough and all.
So apparently on their sign written outside the cafe, they will only seat you guys when your party is all here.

The counter and as you can see, they also serve cakes.

It seems to be always pack here, as we sat for few hours and the people kept pouring in nonstop

As Christmas is near, they too also have a Christmas MENU!!!
So please do book ahead by calling them to get your seats during Christmas.

Here are the pages of the usual menu of the cafe.

Iced Mocha - RM 15.00
Double espresso with milk and homemade chocolate ganache.

Honey Lemon - RM 5.50
It was not sour but just right.
The sweetness of the honey and acidic taste from lemon was put together in perfection.

Red Kettle Special - RM 12.00
Traditional Vietnamese drip coffee with an extraordinary fluffy and creamy sweetened topping.
Contains egg.
This is one of their specialty. Its pretty bitter but the taste is quite amazing.
You really do can taste the smell of the egg but it doesn't felt weird while drinking it down.

We also had a cup of drinking water and they charge us for RM 1.50.

Pork Bolognese N Mata Kerbau - RM 25.00
Spaghetti, pork bolognese, sunny side up, parmesan cheese, garlic bread and herb.
My garlic bread was soggy but the bolognese was quite nice.
Its like minced pork meat and the parmesan cheese was really generous.

Classic Pork Chop - RM 20.00
Pan-fried 12 hours marinated pork loin, green peas, hand cut seared potato wedges and homestyle gravy.
There were 3 pieces of pork chop.
GENEROUS amount.
But its delicious! The gravy was oh so delicious as well.

Pork Burger - RM 20.00
Chargrilled handmade pork patty, homemade bacon, cheddar cheese, tomato relish, pickles, salad and fries.
The pork patty is so juicy and thick!
One of their best selling food.
To die for!

An Overview.

Overall, yes, the food is amazing!
The pork they have here is really up to standard and its a really nice place to just have tea or to just hang out with friends.
My friend, Grace, introduced this place to us and to just have a time to catch up.
We sat for 4 hours straight and they didn't chase us out also. Haha.
So paiseh la ohh my gosh.
Would definitely come back again someday.

Lazada Online Revolution Blogger Contest

6:55 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

So, Lazada is having a blogger contest!
Which I was so not aware of because I just got back from my super duper long holiday overseas.
But I do know the 12.12 online revolution sale was on going from 11th December to 14th December 2017, thats for sure.

So to take part in this contest, I will need to answer a few questions.

a. Do you remember the first product that you ever purchased online? What was it and how was your experience?
I remember it was year 2015, using my dad's Lazada account to purchase something that was to be given to the Orang Asli as Christmas presents. It was some portable speaker or earphones that I purchased on Lazada and bought about 6 to 12 of them. It did not end well. I got on a heated argument with the customer service because the items could not arrive on time and he wouldn't refund the money to me. Because of that, I didn't scroll through Lazada for quite some time. Thankfully, everything improved since then and bought so many things too.

b. Which types of products would you prefer buying online?
Well, to me, I will buy things I can't buy in stores or just can't get them anywhere. Electronics is what I find very cheap and boleh tahan, can trust la. Also mostly decorative items because it's so difficult to find items that I really like and surprisingly Lazada has most of them!

c. What do you love about online shopping?
Hmm, most probably about me being lazy bringing my bum out the door. *laughs* Everything is so easy nowadays, with just a fingertip, wait for your items to arrive. Can even order things from Tesco la come on. It's just so convenient!

d. Which products did you buy or are you planning to buy on Lazada during the Online Revolution Sale?
Wahhh. Loads la to answer this question. I think I can never buy enough stuff.

Being married and being the aunty now, I do need a better mop. Lol. My current mop that I bought from Lazada like 1 year ago, doesn't seem to work like magic anymore. So probably best to get a new one now.

And since we are taking care of this particular stray dog which occasionally comes to our house and sleep over at night, best to have this outside the house so it can eat and drink whenever it needs to.

There are loads of other stuff I wanna buy but they are not in the Online Revolution category. Such as decorative items that I can use on weddings since I'm switching my job into the wedding industry.

So you wanna join the contest too?
If you got a blog, come join it!

So, all you need to do is just answer the 4 questions, mention the Online Revolution, have screen shots of the items, and email them! That's it! Not very complicated.

Because their prizes are exciting!!
The more participants, more chances of winning and higher money prizes too!

I think Lazada's marketing team is doing a fine job at this. *smirk*
Kudo's to the team!

So wait no longer, blog and shop away!!!
It's the last day!!!
