Jonker 88 @ Jonker Walk, Melaka

Once I knew I was heading to Melaka for a short trip, the first thing on my mind was Cendol1!!
Jonker 88 was my favourite since the first time I went when I was 14 years old.
*10 years ago, I'm old.*
Now not only they serve the typical cendol but a variety of it!
Hungry? They even sold food now!

The place is decorated with historical stuff.
And lots of different bank notes from other countries.

This place is down to be pack every damn day.
So if you wanna sit and eat? Well, you gonna wait.

So counter is inside, middle of the shop.
You gonna know what you wanna eat, and order quick.
Unless you wanna make other people unhappily waiting behind you.

Each of us had the Baba Cendol which cost RM 4.00 per bowl.
To me, it got a little bit sweeter than before.
Maybe too generous on their gula melaka.
But the taste is definitely still there.

Still one of my faves.

An Overview.

Although it's a bit too sweet for me, but I still love it.
They say there's another cendol in town that is better.
I wonder, will that be better than this which has been here for so long?

Qawa Coffee and Sandwich @ Kuala Terengganu

So while running errands in KT, mom told me there's a container cafe she saw the last time she came up to KT.
I was wondering why not?
In my mind I was like how great can this cafe be?
Since I've been to so many awesome cafes in KL and elsewhere.

Once I saw how magnificent it was, I never felt so guilty in my life.
Who would have thought to see such an impressive cafe?

So to clarify this, it is not 1919 cafe.
The 1919 you are looking at is actually Jawi wordings.
It means Qawa (Kawa), coffee in Jawi.

It is very spacious on the ground floor where you can see the road and also the counter.
Chilli red eh?

While ordering, it was all smiles from the barista.
Made our ordering full of laughter.

MENU time!
Fancy some coffee or tea?

If you're hungry, you can have a munch on their sandwiches and salads.
Want something cold too? Why not have an ice blended or a frap?

Seeing student prices makes me missing my uni days.
Damn.

Time to feast your eyes on their cakes!

They use this particular coffee bean called Qawa.

Heading onto the floor above, the staircase is behind the container.
I wish they would do a bit of shade, so if it's raining, people can still walk up.

Once we got in, everything is so RETRO!

That joker gave me the creeps!

All the different old cameras are all placed inside the cupboard to be view for display.

Helmets and shades too!

Macaroon - RM 3 each
How cheap is that?
We have here, a lemon, blueberry and mint flavour.
And honestly, these are not as sweet as they should be.
I am surprised because macaroons are hard to make and without proper much of sugar, it won't work.
It's really good!

Peach Tea - RM 10.00
This is so refreshing on a hot sunny day in KT.
Just what we need.

Iced Toffeenut Latte - RM 11.50
Not too sweet, not too bitter.
In the way I like it.

An overview.

Overall, it is pretty fascinating to see such a cafe that exist in KT.
Although the drinks are pretty pricey but it is definitely worth a slurp!
Wouldn't mind coming back again to try out their sandwiches.
