One spot that's got to be the most cafes around!

Literally every corner that you turn, there's a cafe.

and that's when I wish I was from KL or living there.

Went during Christmas week, so there were lots of Christmas deco around.

Funny how the bricks on the wall that you don't cover up with cement does actually blend in the ambiance eh?

I saw waffle in everything!

It's like a dream spot for waffle/brunch lovers!

So I had this. Well, coffee is coffee aye?

I would think the latte taste better.

Egg Salmon Royale - RM 21.00

Ohh, I never had any other food on my waffles before!

It was a little bit weird, trust me.

But it taste awesome!

Funny combination but i like it!

Sauteed mushrooms, poached egg, salmon, bread and waffle.

Of course I still prefer Antipodean's sauteed mushrooms anytime but the salmon is top notch!

It's tomato sauce thats in between of everything.

A little bit sour but it taste quite alright.

Loaded Omelette Beef Bacon - RM 17.00

Scrumptious omelette!

You can taste the beef bacon in it which is so fragrant!

Smoked Salmon Waffles - RM 18.00

This is actually in their December special.

So I don't think that they have it anymore in their menu now.

It's like Jap meets Western cuisine.

Smoked salmon, mayonnaise, waffle, peeled cucumber.

Interesting combination dont you think?

So overall, ambiance great, food combination is weird but great, drinks are not bad.

Should try their bread next time though, looks tempting.

I blame myself for not having a bigger stomach, but then I don't wanna turn into a balloon.

Yea definitely a try!

Well well, Antipodean is actually one of the first cafes that I've ever tried for brunch.

It left me with such a big impact, that it was the reason of starting to cafe hop everywhere I go.

The first ever that I went to was the Antipodean in Bangsar.

It was so filled with people that we had to wait 10 minutes to get our seats.

*actually it wasn't too bad la*

But I was so amazed by their service, I went back to Bangsar for it again.

Had another at Menara Tan and Tan as well.

So basically, I've been to all the Antipodeans heh.

What's so good is that they are pet friendly at Bangsar!

You can bring your pets along, they would provide water for them to drink!

Hope they would actually open one in Ipoh, or Kampar, better!

Didn't really took a lot of pictures that day, wasn't feeling too well of hearing the flood situation back in my hometown,

and it was the day that the AirAsia plane went missing.

Was feeling very bumped out that day.

First time in history, that food couldn't comfort me.

As you can see, their menu is on a big blackboard.

They don't have menus on paper for you so you can just quickly glance whatever it is on the board and decide.

There are more than 20 types of breakfast you can choose from so do choose wisely!

Everything is just so good!

All Day Breakfast - RM 20.00

A slice of Wheat bread, Baked beans, Scramble eggs, Huge tomatoes and not forgetting Bacon.

The tomatoes are so juicy!!! Mouth-watering seriously.

Everyone gets confused with the All Day Breakfast and Big Breakfast.

Well the difference is that in All Day Breakfast, they serve tomatoes and baked beans.

As for Big Breakfast, they serve sauteed Mushrooms and hashbrown.

You can either choose bacon or sausage for both plates.

For sausages, there is chicken, beef or pork that you can choose from.

Croissant Scramble Eggs with Bacon - RM 19.00

Fresh baked croissant at the bottom, Arugula vegetables in between with Scramble eggs on top, finishing with Bacon at the peak.

This is one breakfast I'd die for.

I have never had such amazing croissant in my life.

Not trying to exaggerate but yea, it is THAT GOOD.

Big Breakfast - RM 20.00

A slice of Wheat bread, a cube of Hashbrown, Sauteed Mushrooms, Scramble eggs and with Chicken sausage.

The mushroom is really what I love most.

I usually had a phobia of mushrooms, cause of eating too much when I was little.

But this, made me wanting back for more, made me realize how much I love mushrooms when I was little.

They sauteed it in the best way that is possible.

No other cafes I have found could top off that mushroom.

Eggs Marlborough with Salmon - RM 23.00

Two slices of Wheat bread, Salmon, Poached egg with Hollandaise sauce, salad by the side.

That salmon is mmm mmmm!

Of course not forgetting the poached egg that was poached so beautifully.

Don't you just wanna poke by looking at it?

Banana Pancake with Butterscotch - RM 16.00

Fluffy pancakes with banana inside, filling it with the aromatic smell, slices of banana and fruit salad by the side.

The butterscotch sauce is amazing!

Couldn't have enough of it.

But I would still prefer the sauteed mushrooms over pancakes anytime.

Too fluffy for me.

Face wasn't looking too good that day.

It's just horrible.

Well anyway, promising cafe as usual.

The queue is exactly the same in Bangsar.

You need to wait but I would love Bangsar's environment more than Midvalley.

If only I could bring the chef back home and cook Big Breakfast for me everyday, I would be so happy heh.

This is one of my unusual post.

Normally I would have cafes but it's so good that I had to introduce.

Hidden in the areas of Serdang, the dishes that they cooked are delicious!

Not hard to find, located by the side Sungai Besi highway, just need to keep your eyes open for it.

Well, they don't really have a menu on paper, but they would introduce you their specialty.

Which is what you must try, it should be good enough to be on their special.

招牌米粉 / Signature Vermicelli - RM 15

Looks so flat right but it taste delicious!

佛钵 / Yam Ring - RM 25

The yam is fried but its soft on the inside.

The sweet and sour chicken inside is crunchy and the taste of sweet and sour is well balanced.

油茉 / Stirred Fry Romaine Lettuce - RM 10

What else can be said about vegetables?

They looked so green!

Bringing a crunch to your mouth.

马来栈鸡 / Belacan Chicken - RM 15

Not like any other ordinary fried chicken

It brings a little heat because of the belacan.

葱油豆腐 / Onion Oil Bean Curd - RM 10

Silky smooth bean curd, it doesn't taste salty because of the amount of sauce that you see,

but it tasted just nice, smooth to perfection.

泰式鱼 / Thai Style Fish - RM 36

Cut into half and lay it flat to be fried, this thai style fish is something else!

Crunchy and giving a sweet and spicy taste from the sauce, it is one of their specialty!

Looked like any other normal restaurant, but they can really cook!

One of my ex-church member from my hometown church dine here very often,

and he brought us over and the food is delightful!

Well well, fancy some American Diner burgers?

Johnny Rockets is the place to be!

Greeted by the two lovely ladies at the counter.

Their service is indeed wonderful!

Would escort you in and placing you to tables that fit your group.

There's even a playground for the kids!

Having an American Diner concept, which is pretty cool by the way,

does give the vibe of being in a real one.

With all the vintage posters hanging around, they really did a splendid job of creating the environment.

With the red and white stripes on the walls, lighting up the place with neon red lights.

Not too shabby ehh?

For your entertainment purposes, they even have dart machines!

How cool is this place?

They also have all these cool stuff you can place for free, unless someone hogs it.

This place is really really BIG.

Two floors, and all are open for everyone to dine in.

It is MENU time!!!

So they are well known for their most incredibly awesome shake everrrrrr.

Mango Shake - RM 15.90

Real mangoes were used to make the shake, and it was limited for December only!

Strawberry Shake - RM 15.90

Even though its not 100% real strawberries but it is sooo damn good!

Root Beer Float - RM 9.90

What can I say? You can never go wrong with a root beer float in a diner.

Bacon Cheddar Single - RM 24.90

Bacon Stripes, Beef patty, Cheddar Cheese, Tomato, Lettuce, Onion, and to top off with an awesome sauce.

It is so mouth-watering. The bacon is so crispy and the beef patty is as juicy as it can get.

Route 66 - RM 24.90

Topped with Swiss Cheddar, grilled Mushrooms, Onions and Mayonnaise.

This fan-favourite is named after the infamous highway in USA, claiming the spot as an authentic American Burger.

Although they recommended the chicken patty to go with this burger, the beef does goes along with it as well.

Smoke House Single - RM 24.90

Sharp Cheddar Cheese, beef Bacon, JR's crispy Onion Rings, and smoke house barbecue Ranch Sauce.

Seriously, what can go wrong with onion rings and beef bacon?

So what's so cool about this place other than the interior and the food?

Every 15 - 20 minutes, the waiters and waitresses will dance to the song that the DJ plays!

Not only that the DJ plays the song, he shows them the moves from the top so they can follow along!

He's a pretty darn good dancer alright.

and here they are dancing to Gangnam Style.

And I remembered the first song we stepped into the place, they were all dancing to Footloose. How cool is that!

Overall, this place is spectacular!

I mean, I've never seen such a place so lively!

The food's great, the ambiance is great, the service is great, the dancing entertainment is great!
