Aftermeal Dessert @ Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya

Boba is no longer a hype in KL/PJ areas.
Kakigori is in! This place opened early this year and its still so packed.
I like how it's named. It make sense la.

They'll give you a number for you to queue up but very nice also la, they give you chairs to sit while you wait. Awesome service.

Aftermeal MENU

Classic Calamansi Yokan - RM 16.00
Calamansi Shave Ice, Calamansi Yokan, Longan, Honey Sea Coconut, White Pearls, Passion Fruit Popping Pearls, Lemon Slices, Mint Leaf.

So if you like your desserts sour, this is the one!
I love how the popping pearls burst with passion fruit, how sour that'll make your face squeeze.

Super refreshing.

Classic Grass Jelly - RM 16.00
Grass Jelly Shave Ice, Grass Jelly, Mochi, Pearls and Red Bean.
I like what it is serve by the side, remembering the good old days of Snowflake.
Need something light and something to bite? Then Grass Jelly it is!

Iron Lady Milk Tea Kakigori - RM 22
Iron Lady Milk Tea Kakigori, Brown Sugar Jelly Pearls, Grass Jelly, Red Bean, Mochi, Pearls and Almond Flakes.

One of their best selling, why drink milk tea when you can eat it?
It's really a big portion so share it with a friend! I love how thin are the shaved ice. Much better than Mykori.

I can see why after opening for so long still get long queues, because its really that good.
You won't believe how thin is the shave ice and there's flavour to it too.
With the crazy weather, help yourself with some cooling kakigori.

Also their service is really good! Come see for yourself.

Ecole P @ Damansara Uptown [CLOSED]

Located on the first floor in the streets of Damansara Uptown, this place bring back memories.
Uncountable memories... When you are a kid!

The cafe itself is designed to look like a classroom.
A typical government school classroom we had back in the days.

Remarkable similarities!
How the door of the classroom looked like and the windows and curtains.
Even the wooden chairs and tables with the ink of correction pen everywhere!

The door of the classroom leads us outside of the cafe, more like the balcony of the cafe.

And walah! Your typical primary school classroom, fix with a blackboard too!

and back in those days, teachers always used cane or that thing I'm holding to be a pointer or to whack us hah.

As Tsuey Min listened attentively...

And it's been a long time since I saw all these old version dictionaries around.

School used to have what we called "Koperasi".
Other than books and pens, we always buy candies and snacks.

Gone were the days when you had to sew your own school badge or else you're gonna get it from the teacher.

The cafe also made all these pop up speech bubbles of the things we used to say in school.
Do you remember saying all of these?

Alas. MENU time!!!

They used an exercise book to create their book menu. How cute!

The drinks have their own cute little names.
All their mocktails are combination of fresh fruit and fruit juice, sweeten with honey.
From left to right:

Spongebob Squarepants - Rm 9.00
Passion fruit + Honey + Lemon

Ultraman - RM 9.00

Fish and Asparagus - RM 18.90
Pan fried black tilapia served with stir fried roasted potatoes and broccoli with asparagus pea puree.
Ohh I had this and I love it. If can, I would love to have more!
There was this exquisite taste that I could not comprehend, bring such delicate taste to my taste buds that I wanted more of it!
Really thumbs up for this dish!

Nasi Kambing - RM 21.90
Turmeric raisin fried rice served with lamb braised in raisin and carrots.
This dish was just okay, I expected more with a price like that but the braised lamb was not so nice.
Maybe it was braised too long till the taste was gone.

Fish A La Laksa - RM 16.90
Spaghetti cooked in asam laksa brothel served with pan fried black tilapia.
Well, its spaghetti with laksa!
The smell was just wonderful, aromatic laksa smell.

Seafood Linguine - RM 21.90
Linguine with prawns, squids and black mussel. Tomatoes concasse, black olive cooked in a mixture of garlic, curry leaves, chili flakes and splash of fresh lemon juice.
One look at it, you'd know its good alright.

An overview.

So we had our pictures taken to be a part of Ecole P School.
OVerall, I really love the concept of this cafe.
It's definitely a back to school vibe with all kinds of things you can see in there.
Food and drinks are great too.
Definitely going back again for that Fish Asparagus. I still miss that taste of it!

Epicuro @ Damansara Uptown

Saw one of the food bloggers posted about this cafe and couldn't wait to just get there to try it!
Located at Damansara Uptown, where all the amazing cafes are at, it's not hard to find.

I agree to that statement.

Inside, it's all black on their walls and one wide line of white throughout the cafe.
Pretty dim lights to me, so it was pretty hard to capture pictures inside.

and it's MENU time!!!

Linguine with Pesto - RM 22.90
Linguine with bacon bits, tomatoes and a house made basil, walnut pesto.
It looks pretty rich to me.

Spaghetti Carbonara - RM 22.90
Spaghetti with a cream sauce with bacon bits, topped with a slow poached egg.
I love the sauce and the bacon that goes with it, the taste is just so splendid!
Ohh I love my dish, it was damn good alright.
Lick it clean!!

Chicken Cacciatore - RM 25.90
Whole chicken thigh with marinara sauce, mushrooms and aglio olio pasta.
A whole chunk of chicken on the pasta, and the sauce was alright.

An overview.

Overall, the dinner is splendid, place is packed during dinner time, waiters are really friendly too!
Just didn't like it when the lights are so dim with their walls are black.
But none the less, food is awesome.
Had our drinks as well, 2 Iced Lemon Tea - RM 4.90 each and Lemonade - RM 5.90.
Total spending of RM 92.65, inclusive of GST but no service charge.
