The Farm Cafe @ Sitiawan

So the other day, I purposely drove down to Sitiawan to meet up with my family who came all the way from Terengganu to attend a camp there.
So as we have loads of time, we hop to one of the cafes in Sitiawan. Do ignore my brother and my mom's peace signs lol

I really like the wooden exterior of this cafe. They look just like my crates at home neh.
They also have this book shelf next to the door with books you can take or donate to put them there :)

Very wooden too on the inside, hence the name, Farm cafe. Very simple design and comfy too.

So you would need to order at the counter and the menus are also at the counter as well. You can take them and sit at your place to think of what to eat.

The wooden table and chair is very nostalgic isn't it? Reminds you of when we were once in primary school.

They also have loads of cakes and omgosh mouth watering croissant.

And their MENU!!!
Very simple. Not a lot of choices, sometimes its a good idea also.

Rose Flavoured Latte - RM 10.00
To be honest, I did not taste a drop of Rose Flavour at all.
It was only latte and thats it.

Lemon Calamansi - RM 8.00
This one was refreshing! But it had the artificial flavoured calamansi instead.
Such a shame though.

Lemon Tea - RM 6.00
This is nice. Genuine tea haha. Hot but refreshing at the same time. Tea and lemon blends together very well. Not too bitter and not too sour either. The biscuits were really nice and fragrant too.

Salted Egg Butter Croissant - RM 13.00
This, my friend, is by far the best one I ever had.
The salted egg flavour is very rich.
It's so good that I wanted another straightaway.

An Overview.

Overall, the drinks were well, not very up to par.
But they said their Salted Egg Butter Croissant is really good and it did not disappoint.
Would be nice if I could try out their meals next time when I'm around in Sitiawan.
But for now, that taste of croissant still lingers in my mouth.

Restoran Makanan Laut Villa @ Sitiwan

So we had a short geatway cause I just couldn't face Kampar so much,
so we head off to Sitiawan to find some really really irresistible food.
Am very thankful that we had a tour guide friend who brought us everywhere, making sure we were all well fed.

Well, Sitiawan itself is famous for their seafood, so of course we had to have it.
Bringing us to a seafood restaurant which locals think its the best.
and it did not disappoint us.

菜胆 Stewed Vegetables
Nothing special about this dish, I guess everyone had this dish at home at least right?
It's a typical home cook vegetable but look at that green glaze on it!
Makes you wanna try doesnt it?

蚝煎 Fried Egg Oyster
This is one of their famous dishes.
Its very different from the ones in Penang because this is crispier than Penang's.
You don't smell the fishy smell of the oyster, so it taste delightful and crunchy at the same time!!

黑椒螃蟹 Black Pepper Crab
This was a little bit of a let down.
The black pepper taste was actually pretty good but the bad thing was, it was far too strong that it covered up the taste of the crab.
Such a waste though.

奶油虾姑 Butter Cream Mantis Shrimp
Well, we all call it "hako" and I never had it until 2 years back.
Although it looks pretty disgusting *when its not covered up with all that buttery thing*,
it taste very nice, like chicken! Nahh Im just joking.
It has its own flavorful taste.
and so the butter cream combination is just right, fried it, giving it a crunch.

An overview.

Yea well there's nothing much to post about compare to cafes cause well its a totally different environment kan?
But the shading coconut trees that surrounds the restaurant and the spacious area which welcomes a pack crowd on holidays are a breezeful enjoyable place to eat at.
None the less, this is where all the really good Chinese food comes from.
Made me miss my mom's cooking.
So yea overall? Food's great! No comment about the ambiance, though its open air.
Total Spending around RM 133.00+.
