Ticklish Ribs and Wiches @ The Gardens, Midvalley

While walking around Midvalley and The Gardens, we got really hungry and searched online actually on what's new here and something we can try on.
Since we don't come to KL as often as before, we really need to know what restaurants or cafes are on trend.
So we saw this place, Ticklish, was thinking to myself, what an odd name to name a restaurant but they serve pork ribs so why not just give it a shot.

They will seat you once you go to their podium, and the place is created to look fun actually.

This whole wall is covered in cartoon pigs with funny speeches that we Malaysians always say.

This is only for those who wants to have parties.

The place looks really well decorated and gives its own cartoon with a bit of edge kinda theme.

Yea well, I'm not sure if I can wallop ribs in a minute.
I would rather enjoy the moment savoring every bite of it.

So MENU is here!
Took all the shots so you all can get a full view here.

Silly Soursop - RM 9
Taste exactly like one and even have the flesh of the fruit in it.

Hamsup Wok Fried Pasta - RM 20.00
Rich Cantonese salted egg sauce stir-fried into the noodles then capped with slices of tender breaded pork chops.
To me, when the dish came, WOW, I can smell it.
BUT sadly, it didn't taste as good as it smells.
The sauce was not thick enough to be able to cover the whole plate of pasta.
Hence, the taste was not gao enough.

The Ultimate Tickle, Not Really Platter - RM 36
This is their signature BBQ ribs, with the not really platter, you'll have 4 pieces with sides of a mashed potato and salad.
At first it tasted sweet then it got really salty.
But then, it does taste really good.
The mashed potato was a bomb though.

Lazy Bones Curry Pork Lard Rice - RM 30
Boneless local rib meat with a curry kick to it. Served with Pork lard rice and dash of sambal, with sunny side up and crumbs of pork fat.
To me it tasted like the Nasi Lemak Kapitan I had somewhere.
I didn't really like it because it wasn't like the curry kinda curry. So yea.

An Overview.

Overall, it's okay.
We went about 3pm and there was really no one.
A couple was about to leave when we got there.
Probably they have more customers at night.
Food was just so-so. I expected more.

If you are a Gardens Mall card member, buy a bucket of ribs and get your rice meal for free!

Antipodean @ Midvalley

Well well, Antipodean is actually one of the first cafes that I've ever tried for brunch.
It left me with such a big impact, that it was the reason of starting to cafe hop everywhere I go.
The first ever that I went to was the Antipodean in Bangsar.
It was so filled with people that we had to wait 10 minutes to get our seats.
*actually it wasn't too bad la*
But I was so amazed by their service, I went back to Bangsar for it again.
Had another at Menara Tan and Tan as well.
So basically, I've been to all the Antipodeans heh.
What's so good is that they are pet friendly at Bangsar!
You can bring your pets along, they would provide water for them to drink!
Hope they would actually open one in Ipoh, or Kampar, better!

Didn't really took a lot of pictures that day, wasn't feeling too well of hearing the flood situation back in my hometown,
and it was the day that the AirAsia plane went missing.
Was feeling very bumped out that day.
First time in history, that food couldn't comfort me.

As you can see, their menu is on a big blackboard.
They don't have menus on paper for you so you can just quickly glance whatever it is on the board and decide.
There are more than 20 types of breakfast you can choose from so do choose wisely!
Everything is just so good!
*speaking from a person who just had to go to every branch they have*

All Day Breakfast - RM 20.00
A slice of Wheat bread, Baked beans, Scramble eggs, Huge tomatoes and not forgetting Bacon.
The tomatoes are so juicy!!! Mouth-watering seriously.
Everyone gets confused with the All Day Breakfast and Big Breakfast.
Well the difference is that in All Day Breakfast, they serve tomatoes and baked beans.
As for Big Breakfast, they serve sauteed Mushrooms and hashbrown.
You can either choose bacon or sausage for both plates.
For sausages, there is chicken, beef or pork that you can choose from.

Croissant Scramble Eggs with Bacon - RM 19.00
Fresh baked croissant at the bottom, Arugula vegetables in between with Scramble eggs on top, finishing with Bacon at the peak.
This is one breakfast I'd die for.
I have never had such amazing croissant in my life.
Not trying to exaggerate but yea, it is THAT GOOD.

Big Breakfast - RM 20.00
A slice of Wheat bread, a cube of Hashbrown, Sauteed Mushrooms, Scramble eggs and with Chicken sausage.
The mushroom is really what I love most.
I usually had a phobia of mushrooms, cause of eating too much when I was little.
But this, made me wanting back for more, made me realize how much I love mushrooms when I was little.
They sauteed it in the best way that is possible.
No other cafes I have found could top off that mushroom.

Eggs Marlborough with Salmon - RM 23.00
Two slices of Wheat bread, Salmon, Poached egg with Hollandaise sauce, salad by the side.
That salmon is mmm mmmm!
Of course not forgetting the poached egg that was poached so beautifully.
Don't you just wanna poke by looking at it?

Banana Pancake with Butterscotch - RM 16.00
Fluffy pancakes with banana inside, filling it with the aromatic smell, slices of banana and fruit salad by the side.
The butterscotch sauce is amazing!
Couldn't have enough of it.
But I would still prefer the sauteed mushrooms over pancakes anytime.
Too fluffy for me.

An overview.

Face wasn't looking too good that day.
It's just horrible.
Well anyway, promising cafe as usual.
The queue is exactly the same in Bangsar.
You need to wait but I would love Bangsar's environment more than Midvalley.
If only I could bring the chef back home and cook Big Breakfast for me everyday, I would be so happy heh.
A total spending of RM 136.90 including service charge and government tax.

Madame Waffle @ Midvalley

Since the hype of Magnum cafe, Midvalley is crowded with people.
and when I walk past this cafe to get to Magnum cafe,
I was like, errmahhgawddddd WAFFLES!!
They had a cafe just for waffles!!!!

Well of course the place is pretty small.
Seats are so limited.
Thanking God they was a table for two thats nice just for us when we arrived.

woman why are you staring at my camera lol.

A little bit of insight of the cafe.
Their waffles are Belgian-style waffles that used Japanese premium quality ingredients, which comes in different kinds of flavours.
Topped with Gelatomio ice cream.
Their Matcha poweder is also imported all the way from Kyoto, Japan.
Of course, their coffee beans are 100% Arabia.
That was why I was wondering, why do they have Japanese written all over?
and now I know.

Huehuehue. MENU time!!!

They had like 7 different kinds of flavor.
Original, Matcha, Chocolate, White Chocolate, Honey, Cinnamon and Coffee.
and there are 4 different plates to dine in that has gelato on it!
Not forgetting the amount of different beverage that they provide.

Hot Belgian Chocolate - RM 10.00
Hmm. For me, it was pretty diluted.
Maybe their coffee would taste better.
but I like the chocolate art though!

Chocolate waffle - RM 6.90
Packed for take-aways, this waffle is really something different!
It's like crunch on the outside and soft on the inside.
Splendid!

Banana Nutella - RM 16.00
Waffle with nutella and banana topped with whipped cream,
with the double chocolate gelato at the side, glazed with Belgian chocolate.
It is so chocolaty!!
The small slices of banana brings out the flavor together with the waffle.
The gelato is hands down, woah, and it melts in such a weird way but it is definitely good.

An overview.

Tengok woman ni, asyik take my camera and selfie haha

Overall? The waffle is great!
Better than the waffles in Kampar for sure.
I mean come on, they used ingredients from Japan, it does definitely performed out in their waffles.
Im a tam jiak person, one small piece is not enough haha.
It is definitely life's simple pleasure.
Total spending of RM 32.90, no service charge or government tax. *woohooo*

Magnum Cafe @ Midvalley

After all the pictures I saw on facebook posted by my friends
finally get to try it myself!
It's on Level 3 of Midvalley, near GSC.
Best thing is that you can queue at either floors.
So if the bottom floor's queue is extremely long, you can just go the the top floor and order as well.

So my friends and I queued on the top floor as it was a shorter queue.
Padahal also need to queue for an hour plus. *groans*

You would probably know that you can customized your magnum ice cream.
But if you just want to customized it only, then its take-away, no dine in for that.

The interior inside is of course, magnificent.
Looks so glamorous.
Like some high class restaurant.

They have so many workers in there, and they were all friendly, all smiles!
and we were all served delightfully.
Thumbs up for service.

Seriously though the interior.
It's a cafe of ice cream.
Who would have thought it'll go so wild?

The golden MENU time.

Here's the customize version of it, on how you would want your ice cream to be like.

These are the ones already customized for you.
I'm a lazy person to go through the long queue so I just ordered something here.

Just look at that would you?
If only there was an unlimited space of eating and not getting fat.*sigh*

Black Forest - RM 9.90
Made out of Chocolate Brownie Magnum,
along with Dark Chocolate,
Topped with Petite Marshmallows, Crushed Oreo, Freeze Dried Raspberries and White Drizzle.
It's very chocolatey, does give a black forest taste.

Magnum Triple Choc Cookie Skillet - RM 30.00
Cookie cake topped with two Magnum ice creams, this is one of their signature best!
I seriously couldn't get enough of the cake, its so delicious!
The chocolate chip inside just melts in your mouth!
It takes about 20 minutes to bake.

An overview.

Overall? It's definitely worth my wait of an hour plus queuing up.
The line never ends.
Service is good.
Food is of course over-the-top good.
Ambiance. Hell yea.
Overheard that they will have a second branch somewhere.
Maybe by then, everyone gets to try without queuing so long heh.
Total spending of RM 45.60, include 10% service charge and government tax.
