Kaya-Kaya Cafe @ Jonker Walk, Melaka

In the streets if Melaka, there are many many and I mean MANY things to look at.
Not only that, they have many things to eat too!
Such as Cendol, Chicken Rice Ball, Durian Puff, Coconut Milkshake, etc.
All these are the delicacies of Melaka.
Now to add more since the hype of opening cafes everywhere, more cafes are to be explore in Melaka!!!

So now I present to you Kaya-Kaya Cafe!

This cafe's decoration includes many things you can find in a Baba Nyonya house.
Or things we use or see when we were very young at age.

With brick wall and wooden chairs, rustic isn't it?

Your typical old work desk.
With a typewriter and all.

The counter where coffee works wonders.

In Melaka, in Jonker Walk, the shop lots are really long.
You can walk on and on and on, it's like never reaching an end to it.

Why not have a bit of sunlight?

Why did they paint Dutch on the wall?
You have to read up the history of Melaka so find it out.

I really do love the words on the wall and the very interesting basin.

MENU time!!!

Hazelnut Latte - RM 11.00

Yellow Pineapple Apple - RM 9.00
Lychee Raspberry Soda (Lai Lai Ci Ci) - RM 12.00
Orange Carrot Apple - RM 9.00
*I'm not too sure about these prices, agak-agak only cause no receipt was given, and I forgot to ask for it and didn't took the picture of the drinks menu. My bad.*

Kaya Breakfast - RM 20.00
Sausages, beef bacon, sauteed mushrooms, eggs, toast and salad.
The beef bacon was pretty big in piece but awesome taste none the less.
Sausages were spot on, not too dry or moist.
Kaya also means rich by the way, so I'm having a rich breakfast!

Signature Sunshine - RM 18.00
Scramble egg with smoked salmon on bread served with side salad.
Salmon was just the way I like it.
They put some Sesame seed oil to give it a burst of flavour.
Scramble egg wasn't really scramble, it was more like a chunk of egg.

Melaka 'Elvis' - RM 15.00
Pancakes stack with combination of banana, kaya, peanut butter and chocolate.
I've got to say, the pancakes aren't your ordinary pancakes.
They were fluffy and spongy.
The combination were just pretty normal.

An overview.

It is definitely a nice place to relax and chill, a quiet place to have brunch.
The food is not 100% perfect, but it does tantalize the taste buds.
Wonderful place definitely.
Their drinks were spectacular too.
Coffee was really good, and their other drinks too!

Richdad @ Genting Grand

Located just beside the arcade in Genting, the cafe looks so nice doesn't it?

Sometimes I wonder why some cafes put such names as their cafe name.

Even though it's small, the place gives a cozy feeling being in it.
And it really does look nice from the outside.

It's so cool because they even have Polaroids stick on their wall with their customers face in it.

Ordering from the counter.

MENU time!!

Everything does look nice from the menu but don't expect too much from it.

Croissant, cheese bread, donuts, muffins...

Sandwiches and cakes!

Black coffee that comes complimentary with our meals.

Chicken Chop and Wedges set - RM 23.40
Chicken chop was really really dry, but the wedges was quite good though.
REally crispy indeed.

Richdad Breakfast 7 items - RM 19.80
Beef Bacon, Button Mushroom, Fish Finger, Grilled Tomato, Hash Brown, Scrambled Egg and Turkey Ham.
There were a lot to choose from, well it turns out not bad though.
Still can munch on.

An Overview.

Well, overall? It is Genting, so everything is meant to be pricey.
Not as good as the cafes we had in KL but its the best we can get at such a price.
Would really wanna try their Eggs Benedict and also their Portobello Mushroom.
Maybe another time then.

J&D Espresso @ Bandar Utama

Gold and black. Classic isn't it?
Hot Sunday afternoon, thought about having my brunch here.

I really like inside and out of this place.
It's so classically royal.

Hah. I love those on the wall.

MENU time!!!

Earl Grey Tea - RM 8.00

Ice Latte - RM 11.00

Bacon and Egg Pancakes - RM 21.00
Fluffy pancakes with poached egg, pork bacon, mushrooms and herbed spinach drizzled with savory maple sauce for the adventurous breakfast.
Actually, I think twice on ordering this.
Was wondering bacon and pancakes, really?
But when I had the first bite of the combination,I was really being blown away.
Goodness, everything blends so well together, so exquisite!
I was so eager to order another round of it, but kept myself in control, don't wanna be a whale so soon.

Chicken Parma - RM 25.00
Chicken breast freshly crumbed upon order, covered with honey baked ham and melted cheese. Served with herbed fries and salad.
The chicken was alright, a bit too dry but the fries was like woahhhh.
A bite with a crunch.

An overview.

Overall, I'm still now quite thrown off by the pancakes.
It's definitely savory alright.
Still having saliva dropping out from my mouth thinking about it.
It's that good alright.
Total spending of RM 75.80 including 10% service charge and GST.
