Vietnamese Taste @ Greentown, Ipoh

YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Finally a new Vietnamese restaurant. Like finally.
Got so bored of eating the only 2 that's in Ipoh.

I quite like the design inside, modern chic, brings you back to Vietnam.
They just opened not long ago and everyday its packed with people. Lunch time, dinner time, I went during Tea time and just look at the picture, packed.

The puns in the place is just so adorable. Un-pho-gettable indeed.

Vietnamese Taste MENU
Remember to read the steps on how to eat their Pho.

And what's great they have set meals for lunch time and tea time!
Sibeh worth it okay.

Also, remember to park at the basement as they will exempt your parking fee for RM 2. Not sure how many restaurants will do this for you but yea, take note.

Coffee Phin - RM 5.00
One sip of this, brings you back to Vietnam. This coffee is no joke.
Remember to read the steps on how to enjoy this coffee!
After adding the milk, the taste of bitterness and sweetness combine, bright flavour, the aroma of the coffee puts out a powerful evocative smell that enhances the coffee.

Viet Ice Lime Tea - RM 7.90
One sip of this, you'd be surprise and delighted by it!
It's so not your ordinary lime, where is super refreshing.

7up - RM 3.50
Well 7up is 7up. Heh.

Viet Tea - RM 2.50
This tea though. It's something else.
A subtle and airy fresh smell, smooth texture while sipping it.
It just makes you feel very much relax.

Special Banh Mi - RM 11.90
Do not be fool by the outlook. This is one delicious treat!
The crunchiness of the bread, and the sauce inside, with flavourful chicken floss, egg, cucumber, carrot and coriander, makes it wonderful to munch on. One bite, and you feel like you're in foodie heaven. I might be over exaggerating but this is really really good, not to be missed.

Pho Bo - RM 13.90
Beef Noodle with raw meat, brisket and meatball.
Pho means Vietnamese Soup and its all about that broth. A savory broth brings delight to your taste buds with the side of vegetables and different types of meat.
I personally think its really not bad! The noodles though, slurps up through your lips, and if you want it a bit spicy, can just add in the chili paste they provide for you on the table.

Pho Tai - RM 14.90
Raw Beef Noodle
Similar as the one above, this consists just all raw meat. I love this one cause I'm a total lean meat fan. The meat is so juicy and tender, you'd just crave for more.

Com Ga Quay - RM 17.90
Vietnamese Lemongrass Chicken Chop Rice.
So if you're not a noodle fan, you can definitely try their rice. I had this lemongrass chicken and ohh my goodness. Seriously. Out of this world. Very flavourful and I was suppose to share this and I just ate the whole thing myself. Hah.

Nem Cuon - RM 23.90
Lemongrass Chicken Rice Wrap Platter
This magnificent platter consist of lemongrass chicken, vermicelli noodles, cucumber, carrot, taugeh, lettuce, and the leafy thing you see in a laksa soup haha.

That white round thing isn't tissue paper okay, it's the rice wrap haha. They also come with two different sauces as you can see in the picture.
This can feed up to 2-3 people. So it's definitely worth the price. It's like making your own popiah but better cause you can control how much of ingredients you want to put in it. So below is the way of doing it!

Okay so this is the step by step tutorial on the wrap.
First, you got to take the rice wrap and dip with water. In the container itself, there's water, so you just put it in and spin it like a wheel so that every inch of rice wrap is dip with water so that it's soft.
Don't dip too much or it will just break, cause of being too soft.

Next, you put all the ingredients or the ingredients you want from the platter and on to the rice wrap.
Carefully from the bottom, fold the rice wrap in with the ingredients.

Half way rolling, left side of the wrap fold to the center, and same goes to the right side.
And rollover till the end.

Walah! Perfectly wrapped and ready to be eaten. You can eat it as it is or dip in the sauces and munch away. I love this and it's really really filling. The lemongrass chicken is very different from the chicken chop as the texture is more of minced neat put together so when you bite it, it breaks down in your mouth, able to chew every inch of the meat. The noodle also my favourite, springy texture!

An Overview.

Overall, I'd recommend it!
Savory broth with slippery noodles slurp to your lips, crunchiness of bread, tenderness of meat, never forgetting the best vietnamese coffee ever. This place does offer more than what your taste buds desire. A restaurant that brings you back to Vietnam.
Probably better if you call ahead to book your table as they are packed with people all the time!

Little Meet Fresh 小缐肉 @ Medan Ipoh

So this place, a friend recommended to me and it was all I could think about for lunch EVER.

I really like the design inside because its so chinese in a way. It just feels home somehow.

So they are famous for their Mi Xian and they wrote a long history about it on their menu which you can take a look below later on.

Little Meet Fresh Menu

Basically its all just different "toppings", which I like cause it make it so much easier to choose.

White Coffee - RM 3.00
100 Plus - RM 2.50

 A101 - RM 9.30
Pork Belly Slice, Mince Meatcake, Homemade Fish Paste
What you ordered, will all be in there.
I really like their soup.
It's really fragrant but I didn't like the coriander (香菜) smell. It's all in the soup but yea, it's good.
Really like their Mi Xian honestly. Slippery.

A113 - RM 9.50
Bursting Meatball Noodle
This reminds me of the meatballs I ate when I was a kid.
Bursting out with flavour. There's meat and some juice in the meatball so when you bite it in, it bursts out hence the name.
The soup flavour is same all around unless you ordered the spicy soup.

An Overview.

So its a really good hot meal on a rainy day.
Slurping your way through it is very fulfilling to the soul.
Been here couple of times and never get bored of it.
So yea. Definitely a yes to this place.
