Galaxy Tea Bar @ Soho, Ipoh

Alright!
Another Bubble Tea Joint!
Keep them coming.
But brace yourself as this is something TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

Somewhat hidden bubble tea but not so.
If they made it a hidden one I bet it would be flooding in with people taking Insta pictures around.

So their bar is outside, where you make your orders.
So let me explain, this is the shop where the hype of the White Rabbit Milk Tea came from!

So once inside the door, it's pretty dark, as they try to embrace their company name, Galaxy.
The ceiling is gorgeous though, I got to say.

And sometimes you can see a strip of light flies down like a shooting star.

Galaxy Tea Bar MENU
They have an oddly weird menu.
Sweet Potato la, Charcoal la. Erm okay.

Piglet Grapefruit Smoothie - RM 16.90
Well the piggy on top is actually a pudding, and you have to wait for about 10 minutes only to consume it, they froze their pudding so you get to see the whole piggy as it is and not melting away.
It's not bad the taste of the drink but its SO SWEET.

White Rabbit Milk Tea - RM 12.90
Same goes to this too, its so sweet like they put in 20 white rabbit sticks and blend together. Oh My God. If you go, please ask for like 10% of sugar only, cause its horribly sweet. You'd get diabetes the day after tomorrow. Goodness. The pearl wasn't that good either.

Bubble Tea Steamboat (Milk Tea Pot) - RM 29.90
So another fascinating thing from this shop is the steamboat. Actually its not really steamboat la, they just put all the ingredients, Yam balls, Bobas, Aloe Vera, Grass Jelly and weirdly Mango in the steamboat bowl. Put in dry ice in the middle and pour the Milk Tea to it.

Hence, it looks like this.
Honestly, the taste is.
WEIRD. Effin WEIRD,
You know the Thai Milk Tea you buy at Pasar Malam, yeap, that's the taste.
And why put Fresh Mango inside? ITS SO WEIRD.
Everything is chewy and not in a good way, grass jelly felt like made out of plastic.
The whole bowl is just a definition of FOOD GONE WRONG.
It's just BAD.
I rather have the same ingredients and have it at Black Ball lo.

Sorry for the blur picture but that's what it looks like. Quite difficult to take picture because it was so dark inside.

Overall, NAWWWWWWWW.
Not coming again.
Although the ideas are unique, but it just doesn't work.
The steamboat milk tea tasted cheap honestly. Like Cheap milk tea. LOL.
And everything is TOO SWEET.
Walao weh, Want drink die people is it.
Good for insta worthy shots and that's about it.

Kitea @ Ipoh Parade, Ipoh

8:50 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

As more new ones pop up, more things to try!!!
There's nothing very special about this one, just that its located in Ipoh Parade itself,
on the top floor around the corner.

 Kitea Menu.

Kitea Pearl Milk Tea - RM 7.90
The pearls are erm how do I put it, chewy that seems unable to chew off.
Milk tea was just so-so taste.

Kitea Pearl Fresh Milk - RM 9.90
The taste in this is not strong, not favourful enough.
Even with the brown sugar, it doesn't really make any difference.

Overall, NOPE.
It is cheaper than the other bubble tea shops, but I would rather drink Tealive than this in comparison with their price.
Not worth a second drink at all.

The Butcher's Table @ Ipoh Garden South, Ipoh

11:55 AM Felicia Grace 1 Comments

Been seeing this on friend's facebook and such, very mouth-watering.
Everything is pork, pork and more pork.

They are pretty packed on a weekend.
Although they have another floor upstairs, better book before hand.

They also display all the meat that's available on their menu.

 The Butcher's Table Menu

Pork Deluxe Cheese Ring - RM 25.00
I don't usually like sausages because of the bland taste but this is something else.
The cheese inside the sausage is wow!
Plus they made it themselves too!

Signature Salted Beef with Mashed Potatoes side - RM 39.00
I love this! Beef is easily sliced through and so tasty!
Mashed potatoes were really filing.

Smoked Pork Knuckle with Crispy Fries - RM 69.00
This one is REALLY REALLY SMOKEY.
We didn't really like it because of the smell of smoke.
Then we realize we didn't like anything smoke since tasted McDonald's Smoke Beef Burger.
So yea, if you like then this is a must try.

My husband and I went a bit overboard haha.
Ordered way too much meat.
Go in a group, and you'll get to try more of their selection.
Way to many chef recommended dishes.
So book in advance for a table okay!

So when I went back to my hometown, my family brought me to a new place I've never been before.
I've got to say, my small kampung is improving drastically on cafes.

Very impressive on how they design their structure.
Spacious and its by the beach, so sitting outside is very breezy.

Yinzo Kopi @ Ipoh

8:00 PM Felicia Grace 0 Comments

Slanted right opposite Nam Heong Coffee, it is very easy to spot.
A new place with air-conditioned for everyone to enjoy in.

I really love the design they have in this cafe.
It brings very authentic and vintage combination together.

They also have corners for you to take your pictures!
Talk about instaworthy!

Yinzo Kopi Menu

Honey Lemon (Hot) - RM 3.80
Your everyday usual honey lemon.

Teh (Iced) - RM 3.80
A little bit on the sweeter side but not bad too.

Curry Mee - RM 10.80
This curry noodle is the bomb! And so much of SIEW YUK.
Definitely worth it, curry is fragrant and tasty.

Spicy Lard Noodle - RM 7.80
How spicy do you want your noodles to be is up to you as they serve the spicy as the side.
The noodle I had was a little bit not entirely cooked but overall taste of the whole dish with minced meat was quite nice. It's something very unusual.

Kaya Butter Toast - RM 4.80
Somewhat similar like Chang Jiang White Coffee,  but the bread is more thick and butter is definitely not the usually buttercup or farmcow brand. Much better.

An Overview.

Overall,
the noodles they have if the portion can be a little bit bigger would be great.
But for the environment, super comfortable because in the middle of heated town, its great to have an air-conditioned kopitiam.
Drinks are great and food can be improved.
It's not a bad place for people working around that area.
