So this opened as well, same row as Xing Fu Tang, and crowded when it first opened.

It got me thinking that most bubble tea shops do spend a lot of money on decorating their place. But, it all looks the same, gold, white and pink. 


     

The chairs werent very comfortable to be honest.

Roasted Chessy Bobo Milk - 11.90
The top is quite nice but not the pearls somehow.
Overall taste, I wouldnt give a second chance at it.

Messy Mango - RM 12.90
Mango doesnt seem very fresh to me, probably already ripe for too long. 
Overall just so-so, nothing really fancy from all the mangoes I've tried from bubble tea shops.

There's actually a lot of workers but one staff (probably the boss) just took control of the entire system. From the counter taking orders, to making the drinks, to getting customers to collect their drinks. I could see why the drinks are flawed cause its basically a one man show.
Not sure what's going on but yea when you got staff, use them and not take control of the entire business yourself unless you run it small scale. Watched too much of Hell's Kitchen to know these. Hah. So, nope, I'm not going again.

I've been eyeing to come to this bubble tea shop for quite some time. 
And finally I made it.

It's very floral inside, very modern chic if you will.


     

   
They also have another floor upstairs where you can enjoy peace and quiet, get your work done there.


   
It's like Italy romance in a shop.

Roasted Brown Sugar Boba Latte (Large)  - RM 13.90
In it, there's cheese on top, it tasted like cheese so its good.
The brown sugar pearls though, its alright, chewy but not hard to bite.

Brulee Milk Tea (Large) Add pearls - RM 13.40
Milk tea you can choose 4 different flavours, Everspring Green Tea, Oolong, Black Tea, or Jasmine Green Tea. I had the Everspring Green Tea and its flavourful. But the pearls were a nope. 
It's smaller than the black sugar pearls and its horrible to chew. So don't get the normal pearls la okay.

Cheese Milk Tea (Large) - RM 10.90
I had Jasmine Green Tea the second time and boy, it tasted just like the Jasmine Green tea from Instea but better. I didn't wanna add any of their normal pearls cause they ain't good so just a drink on its own is quite nice. Cheese is at the top so if you didn't mix it well then you couldn't really sip the cheese.

Pineapple Tea (Large) - RM 12.90
It's basically Ice blended pineapple and when you sip it, theres small chunks of pineapple.
It's freshly cut pineapples so it is very refreshing.
And it's more towards sweet with a bit our sourness inside. Probably because of the sugar syrup they added.


Overall, I like the place. 
Drinks were okie-dokie only. Would I be back? Yea, cause wanna try the other milk tea flavours. 
Not too bad. Let me know what you think.

Xing Fu Tang 幸福堂 @ Bandar Baru Medan Ipoh

Taiwan's No 1 Boba.
Some friends complained that it wasn't nice, some friends told me it was good. So hmmmmmm.

I was pretty shock when I went over about 4pm no wasn't a queue.

     
I feel so kesian to her cause you know they have to keep stir the pearls or else it'll harden.



So many staffs but no people in the afternoon or evening.

Mango Smoothie and Rabbit Panna Cotta - RM 14.50
I noticed almost every boba shops now coming out with a mango kinda drink so of course I was excited for this. 
But nope, this mango is tasteless. Panna Cotta was errr okay la. But overall for that kinda price? I will never in my life buy again.

Brown Sugar Boba Milk - RM 12.50
The hype of this in KL is insane but once I had a sip of it, it's just so, normal. Honestly, I was so disappointed about it.
There's nothing exciting. There's no different flavours. It's just like that. Ma ma dei.

Probably should try KL branch instead to see is it the same or just as horrible.
Definitely not that worth to go to in Ipoh.
Could try once just for the sake of your instagram profile and that's it.

Dong Cafe at Hale Street @ Ipoh Old Town

Alright! Cafe hunting is back!
So many on my list but I haven't gone anywhere aiyo.

     
So there's a souvenir shop opposite and a gallery above it.

and inside is gorgeous!



     
I love how every corner there's vintage decorations, never a sight to miss.

Rose Tea - RM 9.00
Fragrant at first sight. Your eyes smell the tea hahaha.
It's a soothing drink.

Cherry Blossom Tea - RM 9.00
Not so much of the smell, but when you drink it down, wow.
I couldn't stop adding hot water to my pot.

 Blue Rice with Nyonya Chicken Rendang - RM 22.00
That rendang though. I cannot get enough of it. So so so so so good!
Chicken is very well cooked, juicy still on the inside. This whole plate is just so delicious!

 Fried Squid - RM 16.00
Couldn't resist looking at it on the menu so we ordered it.
Seasoning spot on!

 Ayam Rempah Bao - RM 22.00
Black buns. your choice of fries or scrambled egg, and awesome rempah chicken.
It's quite a filling plate for a bao treat.

An Overview.

It's a little bit more on the pricier side but the food does justice.
There's always crowd coming in and you can see this place is doing very well.
Cause the food is that good.
So go on and have a try.
